Kje in the French way

Kje tastes really good and can be varied almost endlessly. I buy it from Slakter Eide in Lillesand. They sell their items to Meny, so it is possible you can order it in the meat counter there. Here I have made a French variant of kettle in the frying pan in the oven. This is in addition to beautiful, very easy to achieve.

800 g diced potatoes

4 coarsely chopped onions

1 squash in cubes

1 diced eggplant

1 pk sliced aroma mushroom

10 bay leaves

1 good handful of fresh rosemary

1 bottle of chopped tomatoes (Mutti)

1/2 bottle of red wine

4 cloves finely chopped garlic

2 ts pepper

2 ts salt

4 tablespoons lamb stock

Start by dripping some oil in the frying pan. Add onions, potatoes, squash, eggplant, mushrooms, bay leaves and rosemary.

Mix together tomatoes, red wine, garlic, salt, pepper and fondant and pour it over the vegetables.

Place the kettle on top, cover with aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 2 hours. Remove the foil, lower the temperature to 100 degrees, stir a little in the vegetables and let it all cook for another hour.
