Butter-steamed root vegetables

I like to divide them into very small cubes and serve them with a little chewing resistance. If you are going to serve guests, they can be prepared in good time and steamed just before serving. This portion is suitable for 4 - 6 people.

2 carrots

1 parsley root

1/2 leek

4 tablespoons butter

1.5 dl water

½ ts salt

½ ts pepper

Peel and cut the vegetables into small cubes and the leeks into strips. Let them cook lightly tender in a saucepan with butter, water, salt and pepper, approx. 5-10 min. depending on how small you have cut them. They taste best if they are allowed to have some chewing resistance.
