Oatmeal is a healthy food, which tastes good at breakfast, but it can be eaten at any meal. I grew up with brown cheese on oatmeal and think it is the very best you can have on. I recommend you try a little in a corner of the plate if you have not tasted it before. Other toppings can be jams, cereals, chopped nuts and sugar. This recipe is suitable for 1-2 people.

Oatmeal while cooking

1.5 dl oatmeal

4 dl milk ev. water

1 pinch of salt

Bring to the boil while stirring and simmer to the desired consistency, before stirring in salt.

It tastes good to stir in finely chopped nuts, pumpkin seeds etc.
