This recipe is suitable for 4 people:
750 g casserole of beef
1.5 tablespoons wheat flour
1 onion finely chopped
1 onion in strips
3 cm ginger, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 red chilli, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Chinese five spices
1 bunch shredded spring onion
1 shredded pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
0.5 l power of cattle (or fund + water)
Salt, pepper, oil for frying
Season the flour with salt and pepper. Cut the meat into strips and mix it with the flour, so the flour is well distributed.
Put the finely chopped onion, ginger, garlic and chilli in a food processor and whisk until smooth.
Fry the meat in batches in a pan, with oil so it gets a nice crust on the meat.
Take the meat out of the pan and set it aside. Pour the onion mass into the pan and fry while stirring for approx. 5 minutes. Sprinkle with 5 spices and cook for another 1 minute. Put the meat back in the pot, add the shredded onion, pour in the power, soy sauce and half of the spring onion. Stir well and simmer for a couple of hours or more, until the meat is tender.
Season with soy sauce and pepper. Add the rest of the spring onion and paprika and stir it in before serving.
