Almond flarn tastes great for Christmas. but is great the rest of the year too, e.g. as an accessory for vanilla ice cream. This is my bonus dad's recipe.
100 g butter
100 g sugar
2 tablespoons cream
100 g finely chopped almonds
1 tsp of glucose
2 tablespoons wheat flour
Melt the butter, stir in the sugar and heat to the boiling point. Cool slightly, before stirring in the rest of the ingredients.
Place the cake batter on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet with a teaspoon, (1 teaspoon per cake). Set only 4 x 3 cakes per tray, for they float out during baking. Bake almond flakes in the middle of the oven at 150 degrees until golden and fine. It takes approx. 10-15 min.
