Goulash soup

Many people think that goulash is from Hungary, but Austria has equally strong goulash traditions and here is one that is quick to make and tastes good, especially if you are a little frozen. Feel free to make a double portion and have the next day as well. This recipe is suitable for 4 people.

1 onion in small cubes

1/2 dl oil

1 tablespoon paprika spice

1 tbsp tomato puree

1 ltr. beef power, or water and funds

salt and pepper

2 cloves finely chopped garlic

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon marjoram or oregano

200 g beef, e.g. tenderloin or other tender beef in 1 cm cubes

200 g potato in 1 cm cubes

200 g carrot in small cubes

100 g sliced mushrooms

Fry the onion in oil. Add paprika, tomato puree and a little water and let it simmer a little. Add the stock, meat and the rest of the seasoning and cook for 30 minutes. Add the vegetables and let them cook until tender. Serve with good bread, e.g. this delicious walnut bread
