Palestine

Palestinian food traditions have much in common with Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

They use a lot of rice, bread and meat and residents along the coast eat a lot of lentils together with fish and other seafood lentils.

The Palestinians eat most of their meals at home, but when they have to celebrate something, they like to eat light meals such as salads, bread dips and meat skewers at a restaurant.

Most Palestinian sweets are pastries filled with either sweet cheeses, dates or various nuts such as almonds, walnuts or pistachios.

Musakhan is the national dish. It consists, among other things, of of fried chicken with caramelized onions.
