Paule's guest house, it says on a sign on the wall on the 2nd floor with us and even though we don't run Airbnb, it's still a good reason.

Aunt Ingeborg and uncle Kristoffer Paule (it was dad's aunt and uncle) ran Paule's guest house, or Vestfossen Private Hotel, or Privathotellet in the vernacular. The hotel was actually a private residence and I remember being there a few times. It was always a strange experience, because there were strangers wandering around pretty much the whole house. I was approached once too, I remember. I entered a room, the door of which was open, but it was occupied by a guest.
By the way, Aunt Ingeborg served a mølje on Christmas Eve, which was so strong that no one could bear Christmas dinner in the evening.

When the hotel was demolished, it had stood and decayed for many, many years, but I thought it was a bit sad that it was to be replaced by a car park. When my husband bought the sign with Paule's guest house from England, I was really happy and even though we don't rent out, we have numbered all the bedrooms in our house.
