Solveig's acorn liqueur is legendary in our village. Acorn plums are a type of plum that grows in the area where I live, and is a very old variety of plum. It has a very special taste and is well suited as a liqueur.
Fill a 2 liter Norse glass with acorn plums and fill completely with sugar and let it steep for a few days. Top up with 60% unflavored alcohol and a vanilla pod and leave to cool. The acorn liqueur is ready for Christmas, but will only get better the longer it sits.
