Kje on root vegetables

Kje on root vegetables tastes absolutely delicious and I think it's sad that kje is not so easily available, but I recommend asking for it at the nearest Menybutikk. I buy my ready-marinated kje at Meny ved Lillesand. It is in a delicious herb and garlic marinade from butcher Eide. If you can't get hold of a bone, you can also use leg of lamb.

This time I want to cook the kjeet on a root vegetable bed. Now a days you get ready-made packages in the vegetable counter with div. root vegetables, so just fish with one.

2 boiler years

4 onions

2 pk sliced mushrooms

1/2 celery root

1 white beet

2 parsley roots

1 pole cable

1 beetroot in cubes

4 tablespoons lamb stock

2 dl water

3 ts pepper

2 teaspoons dried thyme

4 cloves finely chopped garlic

Grease a large frying pan, add sliced mushrooms and onions to strips. Peel a squash, grate it and slice the celery root and parsley. Mix lamb stock with water, pepper, thyme and garlic and spread over the mixture. Put on the kettles and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 3 hours.

Garnish with some fresh thyme and serve with mashed potatoes .
