Apple compote

Apple compote can be used for many desserts, e.g. with ice cream, cream, in crumble pie or in layers of fromash. It also tastes great in cake and as an accompaniment to other kinds of cakes. It can also be used on cereal.

6 apples

2 tablespoons water

100 g sugar

1 vanilla bean, divided lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and use both rod and seed

1 bit cinnamon bark

Peel and cut the apples into small cubes. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook until the apples are soft, cool and store cold until ready to use.
