I've got some questions about my spice stock - yes, it's rich in content. In addition, I always have herbs on the counter, or in the kitchen garden in the summer. The beautiful spice shelf of 80 x 100 cm has my boyfriend carpented together and painted in the same color as our kitchen decor.
Of course, you do not need all this to cook, but I buy some spices in Asian stores, which sell mostly much cheaper, than they do in the Norwegian chain stores.
A few years ago, when we discovered the wonderful North African food culture, we ordered spices from England. It obviously looked like questionable powder and was opened by the Customs, on the way home to us. Fortunately, it has become easier now and we get most of it in Norway.
