Peach Cobbler is a dessert from the United States, and a legacy of the British immigrants of the 1800s.
10 peach halves, canned
6 tablespoons butter
Batter:
2.5 dl wheat flour
2.5 dl sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 dl milk
ground cinnamon
Place the butter in a baking dish of about 20 x 25 cm and put it in the oven while preheating, so the butter melts but does not turn brown.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the milk, only until mixed. Pour the mixture into the pan, over the melted butter and smooth it to an even layer.
Pour peach including some of the force over the batter. Sprinkle plenty of cinnamon over the top.
Bake at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serve Peach Cobbler warm, along with ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
