Gnocchi with meat sauce

Gnocchi is an Italian classic. It is pasta, but is made from potatoes instead of flour and tastes very good. Lately, it has been possible to get good, fresh gnocchi in the grocery store and it is much easier than making it yourself. Gnocchi can be used for the same as other pasta. One of my favorites is gnogghi with blue mold sauce, but today I made it with a delicious meat sauce. The sauce has carrots in small cubes, but it does not taste like carrots. It just gives a good taste to the sauce and it gets a little healthier too.

2 red onions, finely chopped

1 carrot in small cubes

600 g chop dough

2 cloves finely chopped garlic

1 finely chopped red chili

1 tablespoon dried basil

1 ss oregano

1 handful of finely chopped fresh basil

1 box chopped tomatoes (preferably Mutti)

1 tbsp tomato puree

Salt and pepper

Fry the onion and carrot in a little oil. Add chop dough, garlic, chili, dried basil, oregano, fresh basil, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, salt and pepper. The sauce should cook until it gets a natural sweetness, preferably an hour or two.

The gnocchi is cooked according to the instructions on the package. I sprinkle the fox parmesan over and garnish with a little basil.
