Meatballs in brown sauce are probably one of the most Norwegian dishes and something most people have a relationship with. This meatloaf recipe has a lot of flavor. I also use finely chopped onions in the sauce.
500 g chop dough
1 finely chopped onion
1 beaten egg
1,5 ts salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 ts pepper
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 1/2 tablespoons potato flour
2 dl milk
Knead all the ingredients well together in a food processor. Form cakes and fry them brown on both sides in butter, before putting them in brown sauce and finishing pulling there. You can find the recipe for an old-fashioned, brown sauce here .
Serve meatballs in brown sauce with boiled potatoes and optional vegetables, such as peas, beans or sauerkraut.
