Pickled red onion

Pickled red onions can be used for tapas and most fried or grilled meat dishes. Pickled red onions get a lovely sweetness and I can recommend it for steak, hamburger, sausage, pulled pork, poke bowl and taco.

4 red onions, peeled and divided into 4

1 lemon, only the juice

2 tablespoons sugar

Cook all the ingredients, on a low temperature in a saucepan, until the onion is tender and has a nice color.
