Tuva's loaves are lovely, especially when freshly fried and still warm. She cooks them on a griddle, but if you don't have one, you can use a Teflon pan. It just takes a little longer. This recipe makes approx. 16 delicious patches.
7 dl milk, or semi-mixed milk and cream
100 g butter, melted and cooled
6 egg
8 tablespoons sugar
600 g mel
4 tablespoons baking powder
1 ts salt
Mix together all the ingredients. Fry them on a greased griddle until golden on both sides. Use approx. 1 dl batter for each patch. Tuva's loaves are cooled on a wire rack and served with sour cream and jam or butter and brown cheese.
