Wallenbergare with mashed potatoes and peas

Wallenbergare is one of the most famous dishes from Sweden. This time I have made mashed potatoes, but you can use what kind of potatoes you want, or you can put them on the slice of bread.

500 g minced meat

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1/2 teaspoon cloves

2 egg

3 dl cream

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2 dl ironing board or panko

1/2 ts salt

1/2 ts pepper

200 g butter

Knead together minced meat, cream, eggs, salt, white pepper and spices.

Place ironing in a small bowl.

Divide the minced meat mixture into four equal parts. Lubricate your hands with a little oil so that the mixture does not stick to your hands and it becomes easier to form round burgers that are approx. 2 cm thick. Sprinkle a layer of breadcrumbs on the top, place them in a hot frying pan with melted butter and sprinkle breadcrumbs on the other side.

Let them cook for approx. 20 minutes on medium heat.

Serve Wallenbergare with capers, mashed potatoes, boiled green peas, and cranberry jam.
