Cheese sandwiches with chevre, cured ham and pear are a little more exciting than the usual ones with yellow cheese, a piece of ham and a little ketchup. I think it's a lovely lunch dish and is easy to mass-produce if you put them on a plate with baking paper in the oven at 200 degrees.
Country bread
Goat
Bacon ham
Pear
Walnuts
Pepper
Honey
basil
Cut 2 slices of country bread. Place slices of chevre on both slices of bread. Place bacon, thyme, pear slices and walnuts on one slice of bread. Season with pepper. Place the second slice with the chevron down.
Grease the sandwich with butter on the outside and fry it in a frying pan on medium heat under a lid until the slice is golden. Turn and continue to cook until the cheese is melted.
Add some basil leaves and sprinkle over some honey before serving.
