Braised roast beef with mushrooms and mashed potatoes

Braised beef steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes is a delicious Sunday dinner, which almost makes itself. You can go for a cozy walk in the forest and pick mushrooms or berries for as long.

When I have roast of e.g. bog, I think it's good to braise the meat. That is, it is left in the oven for many hours in a power or in red wine. It is important that it is covered with a tight lid or aluminum foil so that it does not become dry. For this beef steak I have used a bottle of American BBQ sauce with roasted garlic from Santa Maria, which I have all over the meat. Then I filled the bottle with water and shook it, so I got everything when I poured over the rest. When I have wrapped the mold with foil, I have set it at 150 degrees for 8 hours.

I make a sauce from browned butter, onions and flour, in the old-fashioned way, before I add the power of the braising and season with salt and pepper.

I fry the mushrooms in butter and season with salt and pepper.

The mashed potatoes have got some carrots and are mashed with butter and cream. I have added some chives and seasoned with salt and pepper.

The sugar peas are shredded and boiled in a little water.
