Stuffed bread is delicious as lunch, an evening dish or as an accompaniment to soup or tapas.
1 country bread ev. loaf
1 pk bacon in small cubes, crispy fried
50 g butter, room temperature
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 sprig of parsley, finely chopped
150 g cheese, preferably well aged and preferably several types
Cut the bread into squares of about 3 x 3 cm. Do not cut all the way through, because the bread should stick together at the bottom.
Mix butter, garlic, parsley and mustard. Rub in the bread with the butter mixture, incl. into the cuts. Push the bacon into the cuts and then the cheese.
Place the bread on a baking sheet, in a baking dish and put it in the oven at 200 degrees until the cheese gets nice color, approx. 15 min.
