Gratinated garlic bread with bacon

Gratinated garlic bread with bacon is an easy and cheap evening or lunch dish, which most people may like. Feel free to use yesterday's bread, because it will be just as good.

1 country bread or loaf

50 g butter

1 cm garlic from the tube

100 g diced bacon, crispy fried

250 g grated, preferably well-aged cheese of your choice. Preferably several strokes.

Melt butter and add garlic.

Divide the bread into slices, almost through. Let the bottom hang together. Brush the slices with the butter mixture. Be careful not to let the bread fall apart. Spread the bacon cubes between the slices. Grate the cheese and press it down between the slices. Brush some garlic butter on top and bake gratinated garlic bread with bacon in the oven at 180 degrees until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
