Mom's brown sticks are a tasty and absolutely necessary part of our Christmas tradition. They fit well on the cake plate, but also as something crispy for desserts, such as. ice cream and whipped cream. They are easy and quick to make too, so they can really be recommended.
200 g butter
200 g sugar
300 g wheat flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
5 tablespoons light syrup
Stir in butter and white sugar. Mix everything and divide into 6 items. Shape the items into sausages and press them flat.
Place the items on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake them at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes, in the middle of the oven. Cool slightly and cut into finger-thick sticks.
