Zimbabwe has no coastline and that of course plays a role in food culture. Cornmeal is an important part of Zimbabwe's diet. It is used to make bota, which is flavored with peanut butter and they eat for breakfast. Sadza also contains cornmeal and is eaten for lunch or dinner. Otherwise, they eat meat, which is made into stew, fried, grilled or sun-dried. Boerewors, which is a pork or beef sausage, are often eaten. They also eat a lot of chicken and rice. They are still affected by the British colonization and drink tea several times a day.
