I think a cheese plate is a perfect end to a good meal. It is easy, can be made clear in advance, it can be varied almost indefinitely and it tastes good.
The cheeses are mine cheese and Camembert from Eiker gårdsysteri, as well as a well-aged Roquefort, but you can choose according to your own taste and mood. As a side dish, I have used a couple of types of jam, fresh figs, raspberries, grapes, passion fruit and a homemade mixture of dried fruit, nuts and honey. You can find the recipe for it here.
It tastes extra good with a glass of port wine.
