The food from Canada is varied and there are big differences according to where in the country you are located. Yellow pea soup, fricot (fribox), smorgasbord (sliced toppings), figgy duff (a pudding), Halifax donair (a variation of gyros) and Jiggs dinner (a meat dish with cranberry sauce) are common dishes. They also have a long tradition of thick-bottomed pizza, preferably enjoyed with cold beer. Another pizza variety that is common in Canada is pizza ghetti, which is pizza with spaghetti oppa.
