Mum's turkey with Waldorf salad and cream sauce tastes really good. The genius of the dish is that you cook the meat and the sauce in the same pot.
1 turkey breast
1 box of sour cream
Milk until it just covers the turkey
50 g brown cheese
1 chicken stock cube
3 tablespoons cranberry jam
Maisenna
Season the turkey breast with salt and pepper and brown it in a frying pan with a good pat of butter.
Place the turkey in a pot. Boil out of the pan with water. The water is poured into the pot, along with sour cream and milk until it just covers the turkey. Add brown cheese, chicken stock cube and cranberry jam. Finish cooking the breast in the sauce. Remove and cut into slices. Smooth the sauce with the cornstarch.
