Barbecue skewers from Myanmar

The food from Myanmar is exciting. They mix flavors from several of the countries around them. In addition, they are known for very healthy food. I can recommend these skewers. They can also be made in the oven at 200 degrees, but then they do not get the delicious grilled taste.

6 chicken fillets

Marinade:

0.5 tsp turmeric

1 teaspoon chili powder

0.5 tsp cinnamon

0.5 teaspoon allspice

1 ts salt

3 tbsp oil

6 finely chopped shallots

2.5 cm ginger

2 cloves garlic, pressed

1 finely chopped, red chili

2,5 ts garam masala

The juice of 1 lime

Cut the chicken fillets into long, thin strips. Mix the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Add the chicken strips and rub in the seasoning. Let the meat marinate for a couple of hours or preferably overnight. Thread the chicken strips on a skewer and place them on the grill for 5-10 minutes, until cooked through. Turn the skewers slightly while grilling. Serve with a delicious salad from Myanmar.
