Red cabbage salad from Korea tastes good alone for e.g. lunch, with good bread, or as an appetizer. Red cabbage salad is also suitable as an accompaniment to several Korean dishes, such as Korean pizza, dak gogi (BBQ chicken) and yangyeom chicken (fried chicken).
1 dl soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 dl water
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tbsp sesame oil
1 tablespoon finely chopped, red chili
Mix together all the ingredients for the dressing and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Red cabbage salad:
1 red cabbage, finely chopped
2 red peppers, finely shredded
4 spring onions, finely shredded
Dressing (see above)
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, lightly toasted in a dry pan
Mix all the ingredients for the red cabbage salad, including the dressing. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
