Mussels with curry and delicious shellfish sauce is a tasty mussel variant with fries.
Mussels:
2 kg fresh mussels
2 dl white wine
6 cloves of finely chopped garlic
2.5 dl cream
2 tbsp curry
2 finely chopped onions
6 tablespoons olive oil
2 finely chopped chilies
2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves
Rinse and wash the mussels well in running cold water. Discard shells that do not close even if you poop on them and shells that are damaged.
Fry finely chopped onion, curry and garlic in olive oil in a pot. Add the chilli, cream and white wine and let it boil for a few minutes. Add mussels, cover and steam until the shells open.
Mix in parsley and serve with fries and homemade shellfish sauce.

The shellfish sauce:
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
1 pot dill, finely chopped
2 dl sour cream
2 dl mayonnaise
1/2 lemon, juice only
Salt and pepper
Mix well and season with salt and pepper. Leave it to soak for a couple of hours before using it.
