Grandma's very easy and cheap pasta dish

Grandma's very easy and cheap pasta dish isn't amazing, but it's truly one of my childhood big favorites. Grandma made the whole pan full and we ate like horses. As an adult, I think that grandma's very easy and cheap pasta dish is best suited as food for the kids, but that said, there's absolutely no distaste for it.

Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package, minus 2 minutes of the cooking time. Pour off the water, add finely chopped onion and ketchup and stir well. Pour the mixture into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle well with grated cheese or cheese slices. Put the mold in the oven at 200 degrees, until the cheese turns golden.

While the pasta is in the oven, brown the bacon bits in butter in the frying pan. As soon as you take the pasta out of the oven, pour the bacon including the frying fat over it, and then it's ready to serve.

The dish can certainly be made both better and healthier, with some salad and a better sauce than ketchup, but I'm tempted to say yum anyway. If you have children or grandchildren, they will love this dish.
