Pilafris are delicious accompaniments to many kinds of dishes. You can make it vegetarian, using vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter
350 g long-grain rice
6dl chicken power
1 pinch of saffron
1 ts salt
50 g pine nuts, toasted
100 g raisins
Saute the onion in the butter. add the rest of the ingredients and cook pilafris on low heat until tender (30 – 45 min).
